“But now, thus says the Lord,
who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.”

Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV)

PURPOSE

Lutherans For Life of Kansas believes that the Church is compelled by God’s Word to speak and act on behalf of the most vulnerable and defenseless. We strive to educate others in the church and in society on the many life-related issues facing our society today, such as abortion, assisted suicide, human trafficking, elder abuse, and euthanasia, just to name a few.

Lutherans For Life

As the above quoted verse states, God calls each of us by name because He created us and redeemed us through Jesus Christ, His Son. We have nothing to fear because we know He loves us and strengthens us through His Word and by His Spirit. Thus, we can share this good news with those He puts in our lives, starting in our homes, our church family, and our communities.

Lutherans For Life of Kansas provides many ways to do this. We are focused on witnessing to the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death through education and information. We are here to help and equip Lutherans and their churches for this work and walk alongside them in this ministry.

The saying is, “actions speak louder than words,” but in today’s struggle, words are an unappreciated battlefield upon which we must act. Fortunately, the one true Word offers us the tools to do so.

We must educate ourselves about options that can be shared with people that face a crisis in their lives; listen actively, build relationships, share hope.

“The attitude of those who are pro-life should trickle down into a respect for all life in all of its stages. Its application is endless, but its advocacy focus has to be narrow and clear.”
